The Promoboxx Automation Feature allows you to create a schedule of shares that will automatically post to your retailers' social channels on the specific day and time that you set.
We recommend creating an Automation Campaign which should consist of the content you want automating while following a consistent schedule your retailers can easily refer to and follow. An automation calendar is a good strategy if you are interested in being able to see an overarching automation schedule instead of on a campaign-by-campaign basis.
This campaign can be made up of assets from multiple campaigns on your retailers' dashboard. Combine promotional, product, lifestyle and inspirational content into one campaign for retailers who have opted into auto-share for your brand. Retailers will still have the ability to edit/update the schedule that the brand sets, but if the dealer has Auto Share most of the work is already done for them!
Follow the steps below to create an Automation Campaign.
Simply save all of the assets you wish to use for your automation campaign in a folder on your desktop. Create a new “Shares Only” campaign. In the “Add Content” Section, upload the assets you saved for your Automation Campaign.
Follow steps to create the remainder of the campaign as normal. We also recommend indicating when the post is scheduled to be automated in the "Share Label" so retailers are aware. Once the campaign has been created, simply follow the three steps below to create an automation schedule for your retailers. Note: running automation does not email your retailers.
1. Select Recipients
Click Send New under Communication. If it's your first time inviting clinics to a specific campaign, you'll want to choose " Invite your retailers to this campaign." You'll have the option of inviting all retailers or specific collections, filters, or retailers.
2. Automation Share Scheduling
Next, you'll have to set a date and time for any (or all) shares you want to automate by share channel, Facebook is listed first, then Instagram
Simply toggle "on" the shares you wish to automate. Then, you MUST select a day and time for the post to be shared. The default schedule setting is set to automate "now" so you will want to make sure you edit the date & time these posts are scheduled for.
Important Note: If you plan on running your first automated post as soon as the campaign has launched, please be sure to schedule your first automated post for at least 10 minutes after sending the campaign invitation or completing setting up automation to ensure that all scheduled automated posts have time to be set onto retailers' accounts.
Note: If you only toggle the automation setting to on and continue to the next page, all automated posts will be scheduled for that same day and time.
3. Customize your email (or disable it if you don't want to send an email)
Disabling the email (click simple mode to see the dropdown):
4. Review & Send Your Campaign to Retailers!
Last but not least, double check to see if all information is correct. Double check your Automation times & channels to make sure the posts are scheduled properly. Under "Automation" you'll be able to see the date and time each post is scheduled for. If you see "Will execute when sent" next to your campaign asset(s), this means when you click "looks good, sent it!" those shares will automatically post to retailers with automation enabled Facebook Pages.
Retailer Calendar: Automation
To view your scheduled posts, Retailers can go to the Schedule tab on the left-hand side of their Dashboard. From there they can view the schedule in calendar or timeline format to get insight into what content is scheduled to post and when for your brand.
Running Automation without a Communication Email
Simply follow the three steps below to create an automation schedule for your retailers. Note: running automation does not email your retailers.
1. Select Recipients
You have the option to run this automation for all of your retailers who have auto share enabled, or only a specific filter or collection.
2. Automation Options
Next, set a date and time for any shares you want to automate by share channel, starting with Facebook then Instagram. Simply toggle "on" the shares you wish to automate. Then, select a day and time for the post to be shared (or you can select now to have it run instantly).
3. Review & Send Your Campaign to Retailers!
Last but not least, double check to see if all information is correct and run it!
